i keep seeing something like this in chinese anime....like they steal the man or women from their partner like it's everyday business....they dont even ask for consent from the person and they always got forced into the marriage...i wonder if for some of them, it's actually like that in real life among China citizens...

I believe there's still pre-arrange married in some of Chinese family nowadays. But for two generation before us, pre-arrange married was part of Chinese culture specially for the royal families. This culture came from their history when there was still kingdom and empire, political married between princes and princesses. But for ordinary families, pre-arrange married mostly between close friends descendants, like my son married my buddy's daughter something like that. In other cases, they also do pre-arrange married for status, power and wealth.
